About the Role
Job Description: Joe's Roadside Assistance is seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective roadside assistance to stranded motorists. You will travel to customers' locations to diagnose and repair their vehicles, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to service calls and dispatches from the central office.
Travel to customers' locations to perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on their vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and provide appropriate solutions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Communicate with customers professionally, explaining repair options and costs.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times.
Keep your service vehicle stocked and organised with necessary tools and parts.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as an automotive technician or mobile mechanic.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Certification from a recognized automotive training program or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge of a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
